Urban issue

During the visit of one month in India , there were several urban issue which I personally learned. India being the country having world’s 2nd in population and also rapidly growing nation, each state had its different perspective .

Some of the issues which I felt were

· The solid and liquid waste management was very difficult due to the large population.

· The waste which comes from train was not well managed.

· The security in train was less and was hard to managed as well.

· Another issue was a lot of in migration.

· The next thing was I personally feel there was some kind of discrimination in check post looking at the appearance. If looks like muslim having beard than check very deeply.

· The number of vehicles in the cities such as banglore, delhi,Mumbai, etc was very high and effect traffic a lot.

Personal feelings:-

To talk about the personal feelings the camp over all was the very wonderful oppournity for me also my friends to learn a lot. Also in my way I can say it as a tour to India which includes all the educational part , it includes making new friends, getting experience about the Indian organization, compare the courses of Nepal and also compare between the different courses. The main achievement except the leanings was the oppurnity for both colleges to get close which was not as much before. Also I personally feel about the camp members that some did very well as expectation, some did more than the expectation and with whom there was lots of expectation as a zero also. For example the first day of the camp mainly some guys disturbed some guys at night but passing time, he was one of the good team members for group in my view. But some guys also behaved as a child just sitting but not working. Only complaining but not trying how to solve the problem which was evolved. In my recommendation I don’t feel this camp all people brought out their effort as much. There are few who were not even standing as the group when problem came. To share from deep heart, in Calcutta and other someplace I felt although they made no discrimination between Indians and foreign citizens but was discrimination in Muslims guys and becoming stricter, this might be due to security reasons but that’s what I felt. Others that that’s it. Also I feel the south Indians was very good, also even the other persons 99% who we met were very good and cooperative to us. Meeting Nepalese in India and eating the Nepali food 3- 4 times in Nepal was a great happiness. I will love to go to those places again in future if my luck gives.

Overall Learning:

During the 1 month period of the camp the trainee became familiar about the different urban issues like mention above. I also knew that in every country there are good and bad aspects, and good and bad peoples as well. Also knew, the courses vary from one to another university so choosing the right course of one’s interest is in the ones hand of the student. I also learned the different urban issues as mentioned above. We got lot respect as a tourist as a student and as a foreign national people in India and we should also do same.

The main and most important learnings which I got was team work and group work. If team is good ath can cross through the difficulties and success will be in our hand.

Recommendation for upcoming Batch:

To recommend the upcoming batch, I want to say our tour of 1 month was done with the limited budget and tight schedule. It was already sure that in 1 month the team had to get in through lots of happiness and pain & also through different good and bad situations. Even happiness and sadness are like two side of coin it is a part of life. To be frank, although there was some orientation classes and preparedness from the faculty see but there was not much preparedness from the students side. The reason was also that the plan was done in short period of time so the conformation email form the social work institutions was not coming in time which affected the tickets and affect the cost. If the upcoming batch prepare before 6-12 month earlier than they can achieve a lot and also save their cost lot. Also want to recommend the upcoming batch that till our batch all went to India for the urban camp, so others can try the other third country as well.
